School Building

Army Public School, Kanpur was sanctioned by Army HQ on 08 January 1992 and began operations on 06 July 1992. Initially, it functioned in temporary MES huts. A new school building under the Major Works Project was sanctioned on 31 March 2011, with construction completed in March 2016.

The school moved to its new 14-acre campus during the summer of 2016, and it was formally inaugurated by GOC Strike 1 on 28 June 2016.

The school is managed by AWES under the patronage of the GOC-in-C, HQ South Western Command. The GOC, HQ Kanpur Area, serves as Chairman. The Management Committee includes 15 members—representatives from education, teaching staff, and parents.
